Q: What front derailleur do I need for my Sultan? [click here]

A: All dw-link Turner's use a 34.9mm, Top-pull, Bottom-swing, Traditional Clamp.

Top-swing will NOT work. All Dual-Pull derailleurs must be modified, due to the bottom-pull arm as it will contact the chainstay yoke under full compression. Go to our tech page for information on how to modify Dual-Pull derailleurs.

No modification is needed for the following derailleur(s): SRAM X9, Top-pull Only, # 00.7615.014.000

A: 1 1/8" headset with 8mm of insertion into the headtube.

Q: What size is the bottom bracket shell and what do you recommend for spindle length? [click here]

A: The Sultan has a 73mm bottom bracket shell with english threads. If using a isis or square taper bottom bracket then a 73x113mm usually fits best. All cranks with the "through spindle" designs work well.

Q: How big a tire can I run on the Sutlan? [click here]

A: The Sultan has the ability to run tires up to 2.35" with ample room for bent rims and mud clearance. This suggestion is due to variations in tread design, tire sizing and rim widths. Although larger tire sizes may fit properly but due to these case by case situations it is up to the rider, or dealer, to install an acceptable tire size.
